On a fateful Wednesday in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a shocking act of violence unfolded at a local Catholic church. The attacker, a 23-year-old former student of the linked school, identified as a transgender woman who had legally changed her name in 2020, opened fire through the stained-glass windows during a Mass service.

The tragic incident resulted in the loss of two innocent children, aged 8 and 10, and left many others injured. As of the latest reports, the number of wounded children has risen to 15, and a child remains in critical condition. Additionally, three people in their 80s were injured in the attack, and a pensioner is in serious condition at Hennepin Healthcare facilities.

In a heart-wrenching turn of events, the attacker also took her own life in the parking lot of the church following the attack.

The FBI has gathered evidence suggesting that this was an act of domestic terrorism motivated by a hate-filled ideology. The acting US attorney for Minnesota, Joseph Thompson, stated that the shooter expressed hate towards various groups, including Mexicans, Christians, and Jews.

The FBI's investigation uncovered a manifesto, online videos, and hundreds of pages of writings left behind by the shooter, which further supported the classification of this attack as a hate crime and domestic terrorist attack.

In a chilling revelation, Thompson also mentioned that the shooter idolized notorious school shooters and mass murderers in the U.S. and had an obsession with the idea of killing children.

In a distressing discovery, police found 116 rifle rounds and three shotgun shells at the scene, as well as a round that appeared to be stuck in the chamber of a handgun.

In the wake of this tragedy, one previously unknown victim has come forward, adding to the sorrow and pain felt by the community.

This senseless act of violence has left the Minneapolis community in shock and mourning, as they grapple with the aftermath of this tragic event. The authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack and offer their condolences to the families affected by this devastating incident.
