Rimac Technology reveals innovative solid-state battery technology and upcoming e-Axles at IAA Mobility event

In a groundbreaking display at IAA Mobility 2025, Rimac Technology showcased a suite of production-ready solutions designed to power the future of electric vehicles. The Croatian technology company, renowned for its innovative electric powertrains, unveiled its latest advancements in battery technology, e-axles, and domain controllers.

At the heart of Rimac's showcase is the introduction of the SINTEG 300 & 550, single EM ultra-compact, fully integrated eAxles. These eAxles, based on Rimac's Scalable Powertrain Platform, offer configurable variants and boast high power and torque density. The High Torque XXL Axle, a production version of the showcased Dual EM EDU 550 eAxle, will enter series production in 2026 for a global OEM, marking a significant milestone in Rimac's business development.

The High Torque XXL Axle has proven >95% peak efficiency and delivers over 11,000 Nm of axle torque, making it a formidable powerhouse for high-performance electric vehicles. Rimac's ECUs, managing critical functions such as torque vectoring, high-voltage battery systems, body and power distribution controls, ensure uncompromising safety, scalability, real-time performance, and OTA updates.

In addition to e-axles, Rimac also showcased its next-generation solid-state battery technology. Developed in collaboration with ProLogium and Mitsubishi Chemical Group, this advanced battery platform features innovative housing solutions for increased energy density and safety. Another battery platform by Rimac is designed for high-energy hybrid battery packs and power-dense hybrid packs.

Rimac's facilities in Croatia, spanning over 95,000 m2 of production space across two sites, anchor the company's advanced manufacturing capabilities. The industrialization line for the High Torque XXL Axle will be located at one of Rimac's production facilities in Zagreb, Croatia.

Nurdin Pitarević, COO of Rimac Technology, highlighted the convergence of breakthrough innovation and production readiness in the technologies showcased at IAA Mobility. These technologies, he stated, are production-ready solutions intended to power hundreds of thousands of vehicles in the coming years.

Visitors to IAA Mobility can experience Rimac's complete portfolio at Stand C-22 in Hall A1, where the Rimac Technology team will be available to discuss technical details and partnership opportunities. Rimac has entered significant collaborations in the past twelve months with global automotive OEMs, including Hyundai Group (specifically Hyundai and Kia), Porsche (part of Volkswagen Group), and other prominent OEMs in the high-performance electric vehicle segment.

As Rimac Technology continues to push the boundaries of electric vehicle technology, its showcase at IAA Mobility serves as a testament to its commitment to innovation and its potential to shape the future of the automotive industry.
